ELDON — The WACO boys scored in droves in the first three quarters of their 67-42 win at Cardinal on Tuesday night. The Warriors put up over 20 points in each of the three periods en route to a 25-point win.
WACO had control from the tip, running out to a 22-5 lead after the first quarter. They continued to poor on points in the second quarter and held a commanding 45-14 lead at the half.
Cardinal was able to get their offense going better in the second half. WACO outscored the Comets 21-16 in the third quarter, but Cardinal did win the fourth quarter 12-1.
Nik Coble had a double-double in the win. He went 8-9 from the field for 17 points, and pulled down 12 rebounds. Gabe Reichenbach had a double-double of his own, with 13 pionts and 10 rebounds.
Braden Hammond drained four three-pointers in the win, scoring 12 points on the day. Dalton Diers scored seven points. Colton Horak had five points, seven assists and four steals.
Matthew Leichty, Drew Kissell and Elijah McGohan scored four points apiece in the win. Desmond Beam finished the night with one point.
