KEOKUK — The Mt. Pleasant boys’ golf team cruised to victory in a Southeast Conference dual with Keokuk on Tuesday. The Panthers shot a 160 to out-dual the Chiefs by 37 strokes. Keokuk finished at 197.
Trace White and Bailey Shelledy tied for medalist honors. Both White and Shelledy finished the meet at 39. Shelledy had a birdie on hole one.
Jake Moffett had a birdie of his own, getting it on hole three. He finished at 40 on the day for third place overall.
Brevin Wilson was the fourth Mt. Pleasant scorer, finishing at 42. Rhett Zeglen was two strokes behind him with a 44, and Reece Kempker finished the day at 50.
Three junior varsity golfers played as well. Lane Wohlleber finished at 54. Brett Baccam ended the day at 55, and Evan Folker finished the meet at 67.
Mt. Pleasant will be back at home on Thursday, April 18. They’ll host Fairfield and New London at Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club.
