FT. MADISON — The Mt. Pleasant boys’ soccer team fell on the road on Monday, dropping a 2-1 Southeast Conference game to Ft. Madison. The loss snapped a four-game win streak and was the first SEC defeat for the Panthers this season.
Mt. Pleasant’s only goal came in the first half when Nathan Rauenbuehler scored off an assist from Jadyn Vongsavath.
The loss was a big one in terms of the SEC race. The Panthers are now 2-1 in league play, which puts them back in a tie with Fairfield and Ft. Madison.
Mt. Pleasant will have a quick turnaround. The Panthers will host Burlington today (Tuesday) at East Lake Park.
