The Mt. Pleasant cross-country teams held their end-of-year banquet last weekend and handed out a few awards.

The girls team gave out four awards. Abby Ryon, the lone state qualifier for the girls’ team, was given the season’s MVP. Maggie Jennings picked up the most improved award. Kelsey Notestein received the Panther Award and Monroe Swain was given the Newcomer Award.

The MVP for the boys’ team went to Class 3A state champion Cody Mertens. Dalton Moyle, the other state qualifier on the boys’ side, picked up the Panther Award. Luke Ryon was given the Newcomer Award, and Logan White was named Most Improved.
