FT. MADISON — The New London boys’ basketball team had no problem staying unbeaten on Tuesday night when they hit the road for a SEISC South Division showdown at Holy Trinity. The Tigers won every quarter of the game and rolled to a 67-37 victory.
New London led 17-13 after the first quarter and 36-21 at halftime. The Tigers continued to roll in the second half, outscoring the Crusaders 31-16 over the last two periods.
Grant Swanson led the team, going 9-17 for 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds for a double-double. Mason Porter had a big game as well, scoring 17 points and pulling down eight rebounds.
Keontae Luckett filled the stat sheet with eight points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. Tyler Henecke had six points. Darius Whaley had five points, eight rebounds and three assists. Isaac McSorley had five points and five steals in his first action this year, and both Caydin Wahls and Jalen Birdsell ended the day with three pionts.
New London moved to 3-0 with the win. They’ll be at Pekin on Saturday, Dec. 8.
