Lindsey Boldt, a former Mt. Pleasant track and field star will be inducted into the Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union Hall of Fame at the 2019 state meet in May.
Boldt led the Panthers to three-straight Class 3A state titles in 2004-2006, and is a six-time champion at the state meet.
Boldt won four events in her senior year at Mt. Pleasant. She won the high jump, 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles, and was the anchor in the winning shuttle hurdle relay team. She was also a three-time Drake Relays winner, twice at Mt. Pleasant and once at the University of Missouri.
Boldt is also the winner of two State Pentathlon titles in her junior and senior years, and holds numerous records at Mt. Pleasant.
Boldt was originally going to be inducted last season, but she had to miss due to her sister’s wedding on the weekend of the state meet. She is currently living in Virgina where her husband is stationed at Fort Eustis.
The IGHSAU inducts athletes into their Hall of Fame every year during state track and field. Boldt will be recognized with other recipients of the honor during the weekend’s festivities.
