A bid for automatic doors for Henry County Public Health and Hillcrest Family Services was approved by the Board of Supervisors at their meeting Tuesday.
The board voted to approve a bid of $8,985 for the installation and equipment for two doors. The bid was presented by Walsh Door, of Iowa City, and are expected to be installed by June 30. The doors will be paid for with remaining HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) funds.
In other news, Henry County Engineer Jake Hotchkiss said crews have been hard at work mowing and hauling rock now that weather has finally cooperated enough to do so.
Work has continued with mowing shoulders, spraying weeds and hauling rock, specifically to Tippecanoe and Jefferson townships. Crossroad pipe was installed on 200th street, west of Highway 218, and work on the W55 Franklin Avenue Bridge is continuing as most of the deck of the bridge has been removed with only the beams left.
