Mt. Union man charged with operating under the influence

A man was found to be under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for an unsecured load in the rear of his truck and non-functioning license plate lights on Saturday, June 8, around 12:31 a.m.

Harley Lee Brake, 57, of Mt. Union, was driving a black 2006 Ford F-150 in the 2110 grid of Iowa Avenue north of Mt. Pleasant when he was stopped by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. It was found that he was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Brake was taken into custody and transported to the Henry County Jail. He was charged with operating while under the influence, first offense, a serious misdemeanor.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
