Home burglarized in Rome

A home in Salem was reportedly burglarized over the weekend.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a residential burglary at 103 E. Market Street lot No. 1 in Rome on Saturday, Feb. 9. The residents of lot No. 1 had taken possession of the property and moved items into the home but had not been living there. The theft occurred sometime after Feb. 8, at 5 p.m. and before it being reported to the Sheriff’s Office.

After an investigation, it was determined that there was forced entry into the residence. The locked front door was forced open.

Two TVs and several PS4 video games were reported stolen.
