Members of the James Harlan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) presented 15 copies of the book “Lucky Enough,” written by veteran Ed Beesley, to the Henry County Veterans Affairs in honor of National Vietnam Veterans Day.

The book has helped many veterans overcome personal demons and will be given to veterans through the office as needed. Additionally, copies of the book will be placed in Henry County public libraries and the Iowa Wesleyan University library. Present at the donation were: Helen See, Pat White, Diana and Steve Klaus, veterans affairs director Roger Pittsenbarger, and Barbara Welander.
