Your friend on the front page

Every week, the Mt. Pleasant News will feature a Henry County resident in a profile snapshot. The questions will appear in bold.

This week?s ?Friend on the Front Page? is Tina Hill, whom you may know from Mt. Pleasant Christian School.

Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant? If not, what brought you here? I grew up in Olds and graduated from WACO. I moved away from Iowa for a time, but returned to raise my daughter here.

What is your favorite part of living here? The best part of living in Iowa is experiencing the different seasons and all of the local events associated with them.

What is your favorite local hangout? There isn?t necessarily one specific location that is my favorite. I just love hanging out with my family and friends wherever they are.

What do you like to do in your free time? Trying new recipes is one thing I like to do as well as read mystery books.

What is your favorite summertime activity? Working in the yard.

What is your ideal vacation? Relaxing on a beach with a great book and a big cold glass of lemonade would be perfect.

What?s one dish or drink that reminds you of Mt. Pleasant? A big messy caramel apple reminds me of spending many hours at Old Threshers.

Tell us something interesting about you? I am the administrator at the Mt. Pleasant Christian School, and my husband and I are embarking on a new adventure by opening the Central Park Coffee Company.
