Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant/Henry County? If not, what brought you here? I was born and raised here. I left for college and then came back.
What is your favorite part of living here? The small town vibe; you always know someone, somewhere.
What is your favorite local hangout? This is a tough one. I would probably go with Sip, whether grabbing coffee with friends or catching up on work, it?s a great place to hang out.
What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time you can usually find me out with friends or family.
Is there an annual event in Mt. Pleasant/Henry County that you enjoy? Midwest Old Threshers! My family spends numerous hours volunteering out on the grounds each year and a lot of our family travels from Iowa to enjoy the reunion.
What do you think is Mt. Pleasant/Henry County?s trademark? Midwest Old Threshers/Crafts in the Park Event.
What?s one dish or drink that reminds you of Mt. Pleasant? A tenderloin or burger from Butch?s River Rock Café.
Tell us something interesting about you? During my undergrad at Iowa (Go Hawks!) I studied abroad in Cape Town, South Africa.
