Winfield-Mt. Union girls drop Saturday game at West Burlington

BURLINGTON ? The Winfield-Mt. Union girls held an early lead against West Burlington in Saturday?s road game, but the Wolves couldn?t hold on to the lead and eventually lost 41-29.

W-MU led 7-5 after one quarter, but lost the lead in the second period. West Burlington led 17-14 at the break, and pulled away in the third and fourth quarters.

Pearl Krieger-Coble led the Wolves in the loss with a double-double. She finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds, both of which led the team.

Karley Schlee scored seven points and led the squad with four steals. Lexee Hartsock and Jenna Buffington scored five points apiece, and Lauren Jamison scored one point.
