Vehicle stolen from Burlington found in MP Tuesday

A vehicle stolen from Burlington was located in a residential area south of Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday, Sept. 11.


The car, a tan Chevrolet Cruze, was located after the Burlington Police Department contacted OnStar, who found the vehicle in a residential area. The Burlington PD then reached out to the Henry County Sheriff?s Office to assist in locating the vehicle.


After an investigation, it was found that Robert Beck, of Danville, had stolen the vehicle and driven to Cornell Drive, south of Mt. Pleasant. Beck was placed under arrest and transported to the Henry County Jail, where he was charged with theft in the second degree, a Class D felony. Beck matches the description given of the suspected person who stole the vehicle.


A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
