Flowers of the Prairie, by Dr. Danuta Hutchins, retired college professor, will be the program at Oakland Mills Nature Center this Sunday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m.
After the classroom presentation, guests will carpool to Prairie Ridge, one mile from Oakland Mills, to use her ?hands-on? component of drawing/coloring images of those flowers. Participants are asked to bring sketching paper, No. 2 pencils and colored pencils, if they have them.
This program is being funded by Humanities, Iowa and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Preregistration is appreciated, but not necessary. The free program is open to all ages. In the event of inclement weather, the entire program will be held in the Oakland Mills Nature Center.
