The Iowa Pork Industry Center and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach are teaming up to provide training for pork producers and others who need certification in the Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) program. There is a certification session March 20, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in Louisa County.
TQA was introduced by the Pork Checkoff as a quality assurance program designed specifically for transporters, producers and handlers of pigs. It encourages dedication to transporting and delivering the highest quality, safest pork product possible to remain competitive in the global market.
The session will be held at the Louisa County Extension office, 317 Van Buren St. Wapello, and will be taught by ISU Extension and Outreach swine program specialist Tom Miller.
There is a fee for this program. To preregister, contact the Louisa County Extension office at 319-523-2371 or email@example.com.
