Suspected car thief caught in MP Monday

A burglar suspect was caught after reportedly being seen driving a stolen vehicle in the 1000-grid of Gabriel Avenue Monday, Sept. 10.

Taylor Wood, 25, of Mt. Pleasant, was charged with Theft in the 2nd Degree, a Class D felony, earlier this week after being arrested for driving a blue Ford Ranger registered to James Meyer, of Wayland.

A deputy from the Henry County Sheriff?s Office located the stolen truck in the 100 block of N. Pine Street in Mt. Pleasant. The sheriff?s office was alerted to the theft by the Washington County Sheriff?s Office on Monday.
