Religion and politics

Dear Mt. Pleasant News,

Your recent change for the better at not being heavily involved in political events took a nose-dive on Sept. 15, when you condemned President Trump?s Christian activities. Even going so far as to suggest his waiver from Christianity might cost him his next term.

Your article then compared President Trump?s religious comments about God with past President Obama. Your article didn?t mention Obama was born and schooled a Muslim who honored a different God. Your article also failed to mention Obama stated both at home and abroad ?The United States is no longer a Christian Nation? before serving two terms as our president.

The hurt feeling is this political article was brought forward on your wonderful ?Religion? page.
