Randy L. Bailey, 71, of Indialantic, Fla., formerly New London, died February 16, 2018.
Born October 27, 1946 in Burlington, he was the son of Tim and Shirley LaRue Williams Bailey. He was a graduate of Danville High School and University of Iowa, receiving a BA in Foreign Languages. He attended Iowa Wesleyan College becoming certified to teach K-12 and Special Education. In 1972 he married Alexandra Francis Clair in Florida. They had three children: Christine, Benjamin, and John. In 1998 he married Avis Emerson of Camden Point, Mo.
He worked with ServiceMaster/Aramark as Director of Facilities Management for hospitals in Iowa, Missouri and University of Kansas Medical School/Hospital and Park University. He later taught Special Education in Overland Park, Kan. and New London working with autistic students.
Survivors include his mother, New London, his children: Christine Kline, Pleasant Hill, Mo., Ben, Overland Park, Kan., and John, Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren; brothers, Kevin and Ridge Bailey, New London; sisters, Susan Rinn, Steamboat Springs, Colo. and Dinah Bailey, Winfield.
In lieu of flowers, Randy's wishes were for donations to Mission To Haiti.
