LETTS ? The Mt. Pleasant baseball team cruised in their non-conference dhowdown at Louisa-Muscatine Friday night. The Panthers won 15-0 for the 10th win in their last 11 games.
Mt. Pleasant shot out to an early lead with a five-run top of the first inning. They added four runs in the third and capped the night off with a six-run fourth.
Mt. Pleasant had four players collect multiple RBIs. Colby Potts went 2-2 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. Bryce Anderson was 1-1 with two RBIs. Jordan Magnani went 1-1 with two RBIs. Caleb Potts was 1-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Noah Walls went 0-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Cooper Huckabone went 1-3 with one run and one RBI on the day. Chase Lamm was 0-2 with an RBI. Corbin Broeker, Rylan Seberg and Zach Beason each scored two runs.
Magnani threw all four innings for the Panthers. He gave up just two hits over his four innings of work, walking nobody and striking out six batters along the way.
The Panthers will be at Fairfield for a doubleheader on Tuesday, June 12. Mt. Pleasant will be putting their 5-1 Southeast Conference record on the line in a double-dip beginning at 5:30 p.m.
