Panther boys? golf team places second in Washington

WASHINGTON ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? golf team took part in a Southeast Conference triangular on Thursday in Washington. The Panthers scored a 168, which was good enough to top Ft. Madison?s 203 but not enough to out-duel Washington?s 156.

Trace White led the way for Mt. Pleasant with a 39, which tied for third palce overall. He birdied hole six, one of two Panther birdies on the day.

Jake Moffett scored a 40 for the second best Mt. Pleasant score. Rhett Zeglen shot a 43, including a birdie of his own on hole six.

Brevin Wilson rounded out the Mt. Pleasant scorers with a 46. Sam Anderson shot a 57 and Austin Buckert finished at 59.

Medalist honors went to Washington?s Jacob Van Osdol, who shot a 36. Washington?s Brock Sobaski shot a 38 for runner up medalist honors.
