Panther boys golf pops Keokuk

KEOKUK ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? golf team had a busy day on Tuesday. The Panthers came back from the Burlington tournament, which started at 9 a.m., and went straight to Keokuk for a conference road meet. In Keokuk, Mt. Pleasant dominated 159-215 to pick up a Southeast Conference win.


Trace White had a fantastic meet, finishing at 34, which was one-under par. He picked up a birdie on hole two and never went over par on a hole.


Jake Moffett had a nice meet as well, shooting a 40 for third overall. Rhett Zeglen shot a 41. Bailey Shelledy and Austin Buckert each shot 44 and Brevin Wilson rounded out the team with a 45.


The Panther boys will be at a conference triangular for their next meet on Friday, May 4. Mt. Pleasant will take on Ft. Madison and Washington at Shaeffer Memorial Golf Course in Ft. Madison. That meet will begin at 4 p.m.
