WASHINGTON ? The Mt. Pleasant and Washington baseball teams were lined up for a couple of highly important Southeast Conference games on Thursday night, but the Washington baseball field couldn?t get dry quick enough to have the game.

The game was postponed and a makeup date has not quite been named, although Saturday, July 7, is a possibility.

The two teams are tied for second place in the conference at 9-3, but the game will likely be played after Mt. Pleasant?s home doubleheader against Fairfield on Monday.

The Panthers? next game will be in St. Louis on Saturday night, when Ottumwa and Mt. Pleasant meet in Busch Stadium after the Cardinals-Braves game. Starting time for the high school game will be around 10 p.m.
