The Mt. Pleasant boys? basketball team will return to action tonight (Friday) for the first time in over two weeks. The Panthers will put their unbeaten Southeast Conference record on the line against rival Washington.

The Panther boys come into tonight?s game ranked sixth in both the Gazette and AP poll. The Panthers will follow tonight?s game with a contest against Central Lee on Saturday.

Mt. Pleasant is in great position for their third straight SEC title and a win tonight would give them a 4-0 conference record over the first half of the schedule.

The Panthers haven?t lost a conference game since the 2014-15 season when the current starting five were freshmen. They are currently riding a 20-game regular season win streak over SEC foes.

Tonight?s varsity game starts at 7:30 p.m. with freshman and junior varsity games preceding it.
