Mt. Pleasant girls host home triangular

No. 10 Mt. Pleasant hosted one of its biggest girls? golf events of the year on Monday evening. The Panthers hosted Southeast Conference rivals Fairfield and No. 1 Washington in a home triangular.

The Panthers shot a 206, which finished behind Washington?s score of 184, but ahead of Fairfield?s score of 249.

Anni Liechty led the way again for the Mt. Pleasant girls. She shot a 46, which tied Washington?s Anna Nacos for second place overall. Washington?s Sarah Nacos took the top spot with a 41.

The rest of the Panthers all finished within four strokes of each other. Michal Wohlleber was the second Panther score, at 52. Elli Liechty and Grace Scheetz both shot a 54 and both Tori Witthoft and Melody Miller finished at 56.

Mt. Pleasant will be back at home today (Tuesday) for a triangular with Keokuk and Oskaloosa at 4 p.m.
