Mt. Pleasant bowling team splits with Fairfield at home

The Mt. Pleasant bowling teams hosted Fairfield on Thursday for a Southeast Conference showdown. Both contests were extremely tight all day long with the MPCHS girls winning 2,060-1,883 and the boys falling 2,698-2,586.


The varsity girls? team was led by Alexis Wohlleber. She threw a 147 in her first game and a 177 in her second game to end at 324. Emily Shumaker rolled a 123 and a 162 to end at 285, and Kelsey Hummell threw a 136 and a 121 for a score of 257.


Gillian Anderson rolled a 143 in her first game and a 92 in her second game to finish up at 235. Tylisa Kelley rolled a 117 and an 89 to score 206, and Meadow Jensen had a 95 and a 93 to score 188.


Baker games for the MPCHS girls went 131, 197, 157, 138 and 130 for a score of 753.


Brandon Parton had a big day for the boys. He rolled a 208 in his first game and a 216 in his second game to lead the squad with a 424. Sam Anderson rolled a 170 and a 179 to score 349, and Tristan Dirth threw a 167 and a 159 for a 326.


Levi Mills finished right behind Dirth with a 324. He threw a 174 in his first game and a 150 in his second game. Ethan Oilar rolled a 145 and a 147 to finish at 292, and Mark Steinhoff bowled a 111 and 147 to end at 258.


Baker games for the boys? team went 165, 148, 200, 215 and 143, for a final score of 871.


The junior varsity boys were led by Kalib Wilson with a 281 (135, 146). Payton Lovan rolled a 181 (92, 89). Ben Baccam finished at 179 (91, 88) and Bayron Lopez scored a 173 (99, 74).


Baker games for the JV boys went 107, 81, 77, 84 and 111 for a final score of 460.


Rachel Kuckes led the mixed JV team with a 247 (105, 142). Brittany Triska rolled a 224 (129, 95), and Alex Hedgecock finished at 190 (96, 94).


Baker games for the team of Kuckes, Triska and Hedgecock went 78, 9, 149, 110 and 108 for a final score of 540.
