To the editor:
MPEA and ?SOS? are opposing common-sense measures for our buildings and the learning experience for our students.
Our schools, our community, and, most importantly, our students have waited too long. Too long for air conditioning. Too long for safe and secure entries. Too long for disability accessible bathrooms and doorways. Too long for flexible learning spaces and competent facilities.
I refuse to entertain the notion that these are improvements of controversy. These improvements give our students every chance to succeed and such is the highest calling of our community.
On June 30, tell MPEA and "SOS" that Mt. Pleasant knows better. Now is the time. Not tomorrow. Not next year. Now.
