MP girls finish third at home, seventh in Burlington

BURLINGTON ? The Mt. Pleasant girls? golf team has been on the tournament trail in the last few days. The Panthers finished third in their home meet on Friday, April 28, scoring a 401. They finished seventh in the Burlington invite on Monday, April 30, shooting a 415.

On Friday, it was Anni Liechty who led the way, shooting a 94 to place fourth overall in the tournament. Melody Miller scored under 100 as well, shooting a 99 for her personal best 18-hole score.

Michal Wohlleber shot a 105 for Mt. Pleasant?s third best score and both Elli Liechty and Tori Witthoft finished at 111. Keri Herr had to withdraw due to injury.

E. Liechty led the team on Monday, finishing first on the squad for the first time. Witthoft and Wohlleber each shot a 105. A. Liechty finished at 107 and both Miller and Grace Sheetz closed out the day with a 118.

The Panther girls will travel to Washington for a tournament on Thursday, May 3. That tournament is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
