MP baseball sweeps Muscatine

MUSCATINE ? The Mt. Pleasant baseball team won their sixth and seventh games in a row on Saturday, topping Muscatine 4-2 and 7-0 in non-conference play.

Colby Potts picked up the win in game one. Caleb Potts and Jaxon Hoyle each had one double in the win. Rylan Seberg led the team with two RBIs. Keegan Rich and Caleb each had one.

Cooper Huckabone had a monster game in game two. Huckabone hit a double and finished the game with four RBIs. Seberg had one.

Jordan Magnani started game two on the mound and picked up the win.

The Mt. Pleasant boys are now 7-4 on the year and have a packed schedule this week.

The Panthers will host Oskaloosa on Tuesday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m. They?ll return to conference action on Thursday, June 7 with a doubleheader against Washington, and finish the week off with a non-conference game at Louisa-Muscatine on Friday, June 8.
