Darby Massner has been named the November Student-Athlete of the Month by the Iowa Wesleyan University Athletic Department. Massner has been a focal point on the IW women?s basketball team this season.
For the month of November, she averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She shot 36 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range for the Tigers.
Massner has recorded two double-doubles so far this season, with the first one coming against Coe College where she had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Her second came against Grinnell College when she finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds. Massner also earned SLIAC Player of the Week honors for her play in the first two games of the season.
It was the first Basketball Player of the Week awards of the year, and Massner recorded back to back 20-point games for the Tigers.
