The Live Healthy Iowa 10-week wellness challenge starts Monday, Jan. 22, and provides participants with a fun opportunity to be active while engaging in a simple and affordable team-based challenge.
For a fee, each participant receives access to a personal dashboard to record progress and set and monitor goals, a T-shirt, one-year magazine subscription, and much more. To be a part of the Henry County competition, Healthy Henry County Communities (HHCC) encourages participants to sign up with their place of residence.
During an HHCC meeting on Thursday, Jan. 4, HHCC coordinator Kelly Carr said that Henry County went from being ranked 89 to 10 in Iowa?s active index.
?I don?t want that to tank again just because all these other communities are catching up to us,? Carr said.
