The Hillsboro Fire and Rescue Department?s Annual Soup Supper was Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Hillsboro Community Center. There was lots of soup and relishes enjoyed by the community and several stayed to play Bingo and win prizes. Paula Anthony, of Farmington, won the final Bingo Blackout game. The Hillsboro Fire and Rescue crew would like to thank all who came to the soup supper and stayed for Bingo.

The next fundraiser will be the Christmas Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hillsboro Community Center and Fire Station. Food will be served by the Hillsboro Fire and Rescue. Trick-Or-Treat Night is Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hillsboro. Get your costumes ready. All residents who will be handing out treats, turn your porch lights on so the ghosts and goblins know where to go.

Hillsboro City Hall hours are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. City Hall is closed every Wednesday and major holidays. Call Nancy Griffin at City Hall at 319-253-4465 if you have any questions regarding your water bill or when the City Council meets.
