Friend on the Front Page: Amy Clark

Every week, the Mt. Pleasant News will feature a Henry County resident in a profile snapshot.

This week?s friend is Amy Clark, who you may know from RSVP.

Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant/Henry County? If not, what brought you here? I am actually from Michigan. I moved here with my husband because his family lives here.

What is your favorite part of living here? I love all the connections between people. Even though the town is certainly growing, it still feels like a small town.

What is your favorite local hangout? I love walking out at East Lake Park, and my kids enjoy running around there.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love photography, writing and reading. Lately, I?ve really been enjoying listening to podcasts. Oprah?s Super Soul podcast is one of my favorites.

Is there an annual event in Mt. Pleasant/Henry County you enjoy? My family and I always look forward to the Festival of Lights every year at Christmastime.

Is there something Mt. Pleasant doesn?t have that you?d like to see? I hear this is a somewhat controversial subject, but I think a splash pad would be a great addition.

What do you think is Mt. Pleasant/Henry County?s trademark? Old Threshers and the Log Village are a huge part of Mt. Pleasant?s identity.

What is one dish or drink that reminds you of Mt. Pleasant? Sterzings Potato Chips.

Tell us something interesting about you. I am passionate about serving and supporting people during all phases of life. I have lived in three states and two countries, and I spent my 17th birthday in Paris.
