The Wyman Community Club met Monday, July 2, at Ainsworth Four Corners for an 11:30 a.m. luncheon with 14 present. Attending were Wilma Vosburg of Grinnell; John Wittrig, Laura Wittrig and Tom McPhail of Winfield; Joann Love and Jane Kaczinski of Washington; Ruth Johnston of Ainsworth; and Frieda Finke, Lucille Humphreys, Ruth Erwin, Billie Jo Rose, Carol Steele and grandson, Clayton Steele and Larry Love of Crawfordsville.
The next meeting will be on Monday, Aug. 6, at 11:30 a.m. at Ainsworth Four Corners.
Betty Lintz was hostess Tuesday, July 3, to six members of the White Cloud Club. Jolene Colthurst opened the meeting by reading the poem, ?The Junk Box.?
Roll call was answered with everyone wearing red, white and blue.
The secretary and treasurer?s report was given by Pat Miller and old and new business was discussed. Attending were Jolene Colthurst, Joyce Huff, Frieda Finke, Pat Miller, Pauline Richardson, Shannon Sells and hostess, Betty Lintz.
The next meeting will be a potluck supper on Sunday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m. at the United Church of Crawfordsville.
With the summer months slipping by so quickly, everyone is reminded that the United Church Women will once again hold their annual fall rummage sale. The dates are Thursday, Aug. 30, Friday, Aug. 31 and Saturday, Sept. 1. As before, a large variety of items will be offered for a free-will offering. More information will follow closer to time.
