Clear Lake woman arrested for driving under the influence

A Clear Lake woman was charged recently for driving under the influence in Henry County.

On Sunday, Jan. 14, a Henry County Sheriff?s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black 2011 Nissan Murano for reckless driving near the Hy-Vee gas station in Mt. Pleasant at approximately 1:03 a.m.

After an investigation, Bethany Abujobarah, of Clear Lake, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to the Henry County Jail and charged with operating while under the influence of alcohol first offense and was also charged with reckless driving.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department assisted in the investigation.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
