Carolyn Ditzman, 70, Burlington, died December 10, 2017.
A Celebration of Life and Fellowship will be 2:00, December 16, 2017 at Burlington Baptist Church with Pastor Kendall Adams officiating. Cremation has been accorded with inurnment at a later date at Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the AWANA program at the church. She was born July 27, 1947 in Morton, Ill., to William and Mildred Mennarey Conibear. December 17, 1977 she married Ken Ditzman in Moline. A graduate of Morton High School, she earned her BA from the University of Northern Iowa. She began teaching at a one-room school in Northwest Nebraska; then Moline Gospel Temple Christian Academy and Mt. Pleasant Christian School. A member of Burlington Baptist Church, she taught Sunday school, was an AWANA leader, and led the Happy Hearts Party at Burlington Care Center. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, traveling, Bible studies, women's ministry, and time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; children: Lisa Wingler, Canton, John Ditzman, Osco, Ill., Stephen Ditzman, Blue Grass, Jessica Brinkman, Dyersville, Dartania Ditzman, Keokuk, Thaddeus Ditzman, Burlington, Erica Ditzman, Keokuk; and sixteen grandchildren. Preceding her are her parents and brother.
