The Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of S. Jefferson Street and W. South Street Monday, July 16 at 1:15 p.m.
Jesse Jarvis, of Fairfield, was pulling a trailer behind a White 2018 Chevy Silverado truck driving south on S. Jefferson Street and began to make a left turn onto W. South Street when he was struck by a blue 2010 Dodge Journey van. Jarvis failed to see the blue van, owned and operated by Sean Davis, of Hillsboro, and turned in front of it. Davis had the right of way.
The truck Jarvis was driving had front damage estimated at $5,000. The truck and trailer is owned by the Mt. Pleasant School System. Jarvis is a school employee.
Davis? vehicle had front end damage estimated at $10,000. Both of his air bags deployed.
There were no injuries.
